A sound-absorbing wedge is a special type of sound-absorbing body that requires almost all sound waves incident on its surface to be absorbed. The sound-absorbing wedge is composed of a base and a split, with the base being the unchanged section at the bottom and the split being the gradually increasing section starting from the tip. Due to the gradual increase in the cross-section of the sound absorbing wedge, it matches the characteristic impedance of the air, achieving almost complete absorption of the incident sound wave without reflection.
